MYAKKA RIVER STATE PARK January 9, 2021
This is a driving event through the back roads of rural west Florida combined with a 2.5 hour visit of the Myakka River State Park . https://www.floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/myakka-river-state-park
Event starts at Ellenton (off I-75) with arrivals around 11:00 am at Woody’s Pub & Grill on the waterfront for refreshments and/or lunch. https://woodysriverroo.com/
We will depart around 12:30 pm for the drive. We will head east and south for about 75 miles of fast driving on back roads. No stops and no gas stations.
Arrive at the State Park around 2:30 pm. Detailed driving maps and instructions will be provided at the restaurant.
We will explore the Park Observation tower, wildlife trails , hanging bridges, etc. and get refreshments at the Park Outpost Café.
We will depart the Park around 5:00 pm, heading west to reach the I- 75 Clark Road exit and the drive back home. Hopefully everyone should be home before dark.

Cost of this events is $25 per car due by January 2nd with a limit of 15 cars. You pay for your own food and refreshments. The fee covers the entrance to the Park.
