Known for their beautiful 1959 MKlll both Chuck and Joyce Nixon became club members in 1966 and both were active racers of their Aston. Chuck became Chairman of the Club and Joyce became the Newsletter Editor, contributor, publisher, and distributor. In 1971, Chuck and Joyce organized the first Lime Rock meet. Chuck and Joyce ran this event for 10 years. They were not sure if enough members would show up for the first event. There were 55 people and 19 participating cars, 13 of which were Astons. Lime Rock today has become the largest and most successful Aston Martin event in the US. Unfortunately Chuck and Joyce passed away a couple of years ago. For Chuck and Joyce’s years of dedication to the club we thought that it would be appropriate to create a trophy and annual recognition of them. Inscribed on the trophy is the following: In appreciation to the dedicated member who is invaluable to the success of the club.
